Ceramic Animal Storms Into Oklahoma City

The band you should absolutely know!

June 24, 2022 – I have to admit, I didn’t know much about Ceramic Animal or their genre of music before walking into Beer City Music Hall last night. But thankfully, the record company allowed me the experience of not only seeing them live but allowing me to shoot the band for my little piece of the internet.

A great start to the night…

Before the show started, the merchandise manager brought keyboardist Elliott Regan over to meet me. I introduced myself as a photographer there to shoot the show for the management company, Shelter Music. What ensued was a 30 minute conversation about travel, weather, and their hometown (Doylestown, PA); almost nothing about music itself. Elliott was one of the nicest, most cordial humans I’ve ever met. And after the show, while conversing with the entire band, I realized the other members of the band were just the same. This is a very special group of musicians I’m proud to have met.

I find it hard to put a label on this type of music. They’re a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, a little bit rockabilly, and a little bit alternative. But mostly they are just a phenomenal band with a great sound. Tight is one of the greatest compliments I can give them. They really just work well together as a unit and the quality of music shines through.

A little history…

Consisting of brothers Chris Regan (vocals, guitar), Erik Regan (vocals, drums), & Elliott Regan (vocals, keyboards) along with Anthony Marchione (guitar) and Dallas Hosey (vocals, bass), this quintet is breaking every barrier in this business and bucking the traditional music industry trends by dictating their own story.

Sweet Unknown, their fourth album, was recorded with the Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach and after listening to the album in its entirety, you can definitely hear his deep influence. Honestly, I could go on and on about this incredible band but I think it’s best if you dig them up on your favorite streaming service and give them a listen for yourself. Better yet, go see a live show for the true experience.
